Useful information for new families joining Pack 92 will be placed in this area. We have a long way to go before it will be able answer all of the questions that new families have, but we will keep adding more and more information until we get there.
Here we are at the start of a new scout year and we have several new families joining us. Many of the questions are around dressing your scouts and making sure they have the right supplies. A scout should have a Class A Uniform consisting of:
Some events, and den meetings, call for a Class B uniform. A Class B uniform is composed of a t-shirt or sweat shirt with a Cub Scout logo or the pack's custom t-shirt, and the scout's choice of shorts or pants. The Class B uniform is worn for less formal events and/or activities for which the full uniform might be impractical. Please note that the Pack 92 T-Shirt is only available for purchase at pack or den meetings. Scout apparel and other supplies can be obtained from a number of sources. The closest location is Woods and Water in Brandon. If you are looking to purchase a few or more items, it may be worth the drive to the Gulf Ridge Council Headquarters' Scout Shop. They have a larger selection and generally lower pricing. Scoutstuff.org is a popular online source for scouting supplies as well. For more economical options, scout supplies are commonly available via sources such as eBay and Craigslist. Do not forget to look through our Uniform Closet where donated secondhand items may be found at no charge. Just ask any scout leader present at den or pack meetings for more information.
