This page is designed to inform scout parents of the volunteer opportunities within the Pack. Many of the events and activities we have throughout the year are made possible because parents take part and volunteer. Please consider starting the year right by jumping in and coordinating or volunteering for one of the following events. We are always here to answer any questions that you may have, so please do not hesitate to speak to anyone on our leadership team if you have questions. Leadership Opportunities: Currently we have openings in the following leadership positions. Please consider serving in one of these important roles. See any member of the leadership team for more information.
Pack 92 Volunteer Opportunities: Sign up to assist with annual events such the Fall Festival, Winter Festival, Blue and Gold Banquet, Pinewood Derby, and Crossover. Some of these events are held during the regular Monday night 7 p.m. meet time, but the Pinewood Derby and Crossover are Saturday events. This is an easy commitment, but essential to the smooth operation of the event. This helps share the load and prevent the whole burden resting on one person's shoulders. Hands are needed to assist with set-up, decorations, clean-up, food and other similar needs. Contact Marilu Vargas to volunteer for one or more events. See below for descriptions:
Donate Unused Uniforms: If your scout has outgrown any pieces of their uniform or if they have pieces they will no longer be using due to advancement in rank (hats, slides, neckerchiefs, etc.), consider donating them to the Uniform Closet. Simply bring them with you on Monday night and ask any member of the leadership team to direct you to the person collecting donations. This is a great way to help those new to scouting piece together a uniform without spending a small fortune. Camping: Volunteer to help with campouts. At each campout we have one Pack paid for meal. Assist with set-up and clean-up or even cooking at the pack dinner. Also, donations of food are always welcome. Contact Deanna Alexander to volunteer for one or more campout. Summer Activities Coordinator: Plan approximately 3 activities for the Pack for the summer months. You may recruit others to assist with these activities as needed. Also responsible for coordinating and handling the paperwork and registration for those in our Pack who are interested in attending the District sponsored Summer Day Camp. See any member of the leadership team to learn more on this position. |
