This page is designed to inform Scout parents of the open leadership positions and volunteer opportunities within the Pack. All of the events and activities we have throughout the year are made possible because parents take part and volunteer. All help is appreciated and contributes to a better Scouting experience for the boys. Remember, ALL adults are considered leaders in Cub Scouting. Parents play an important role in the Pack and in the lives of their Scouts.
Please consider helping your Pack in one of the following capacities. We are always here to answer any questions that you may have, so please do not hesitate to speak to anyone on the leadership team if you have questions or wish to learn more about a volunteer opportunity.
Donate Unused Uniforms:
If your scout has outgrown any pieces of their uniform or if they have pieces they will no longer be using due to advancement in rank (hats, slides, neckerchiefs, etc.), consider donating them to the Uniform Closet. Simply bring them with you on Monday night and ask any member of the leadership team to direct you to the person collecting donations. This is a great way to help those new to scouting piece together a uniform without spending a small fortune.
Help the Cubmaster as needed. Be ready to fill in for the Cubmaster, if necessary. Participate in pack meetings, leader’s meetings, monthly roundtables and the annual pack program planning conference. Help with pack activities. Supervise den chiefs. Work with the Pack Committee to develop and promote an ongoing plan for recruiting new boys. Work with the Cubmaster and Pack Committee on pack re-registration.

Also responsible for coordinating and handling the paperwork and registration for those in our pack who are interested in attending the District sponsored Summer Day Camp.
Give leadership in carrying out the pack program in the den. Lead the den in its participation at pack meetings. Help train the den chief and guide him in working with cub scouts. Keep accurate advancement records and see that boys receive recognition for their achievements. Stimulate the cub scouts’ imaginations on the program theme for the month and help the den prepare stunts and exhibits for the pack meeting. Attend monthly leader’s meetings.
Assistant Den Leaders:
Assist the den leader as needed. Carry out the duties assigned by the den leader. Be ready to fill in for the den leader, if necessary. Help establish a close working relationship with the den leader and den chief, functioning with them as a den leadership team. Attend pack meetings and help as needed. Attend monthly leader’s meetings.
***There are several Den Leader and Assistant Den Leader positions available at this time. Also, we are able to have more than two leaders per den.***
