Pinewood Derby 2012

From a rectangular piece of pine, Scouts work with parents to shape, sand, paint and decorate a race car. The Pack gathers in February for the Pinewood Derby, where all Scouts race their cars on a special track owned by the Pack. Scouts compete for speed or design, with typically five design categories to choose from.  Our Pinewood Derby is scheduled for Saturday, February 16, 2013 and will be held in the auditorium where we meet for Pack meetings.

Pack 92 will schedule various camping trips throughout the year. Watch the Calendar and listings under the Events menu for all of the information about the upcoming campouts, including links, directions and registration instructions. Raquell Piper, our Camping Chairperson, accepts camping registrations by email at camping@pack92.net or in person at the Pack Meetings. Keep checking back for more information as it becomes available.

Service Project & Raingutter Regatta

Pack 92 has arranged a service project opportunity on March 9th with Hugo Schmidt Elementary.  In exchange for spreading some mulch on the school grounds, Hugo Schmidt is allowing us to hold our Raingutter Regatta on the property.  Service time will be from 9AM-11AM and the Regatta activities will begin at noon.

Bring a packed lunch and don't forget plenty of water and gloves!


Summer Activities

Pack 92 organizes approximately three activities during the summer months.  Activities may include fishing, marching in the Brandon Fourth of July Parade, skating, bowling, horseback riding, or other similar type activities.  Information regarding the summer activities will be communicated at the final Pack meeting and/or by email.  The Pack website will also stay updated with information regarding summer activities.

In June, Scouts have the opportunity to attend the District sponsored Summer Day Camp.  Details and registration will be available for Summer Day Camps in the spring.


Loopapalooza is a one-day District event which takes place twice a year, once in the fall and once in the spring. Cub Scouts have the opportunity to earn up to five belt loops or activity pins in one day! They can participate in activities such as Archery, BB Gun, Bouldering and many other academic and athletic activities. Webelos have the opportunity to participate in Boy Scout skills such as knots, rope fusing, fire building and more.

This is a very popular event with the possibility of the Scout earning not only multiple belt loops or activity pins, but ones that can only be earned at Council or District camps.
