Saturday March 20th “Pack 92 Goes Hiking”
This campout is for one night only and will be held at a “Semi-Primitive” camp site on a SWFWMD property located off Hwy 39 where Hillsborough, Pasco, and Polk Counties meet. The site offers No Power, No Showers, and No drinking water. There is One Portable rest room, a large pavilion, 2 bbq grills, and 12 miles of trails. This will be a “Pack in, Pack out” campout and is fairly remote. All are welcome to attend, but just know this is going to be a pretty “Rustic”, tent only campout. Here is the property we will be having this event: http://www.swfwmd.state.fl.us/recreation/areas/uh-alston_tract.html
We will be earning our new “Hiking” belt loop and doing some great activities as Dens and as a pack. We will be hiking and the boys may get some wet feet, so please bring 2 pair of shoes for them. One you don’t mind them getting wet, and a dry pair for later. We will also be doing a “Night Hike” with flashlights, so please make sure you bring extra batteries!
We will be having a Pack provided dinner with each Den pitching in to help make dishes to enjoy.
As always if there are those who do not wish to campout, but would like to join us in the day time activities you are welcome to so. We ask that everyone arrive at the site no later than 9:45am so we can get our activities started promptly at 10am.
The address for the Campsite is:
